Ahh, Destination Weddings. One of my favorite events so far in life. Not just taking photos of them, but I love the entire idea of them. Every one I go to takes me back nearly 6 years ago when my wife and I got married in Punta Cana. While the process isn’t always the easiest, the end result is a great time for everyone involved.

Amanda and Jared got married in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic at the Riu Palace Punta Cana, on one of the warmest days of the week! I think it was around +38 celsius with the humidex… Which as hot as it was, was a nice change from the recent -50 celsius that we had gone through here in Manitoba!

After the wedding day, we headed over to a beautiful beach called “Playa Macao” for a post-wedding day/Trash the dress session. The beach here was amazing. It was hard to stop shooting actually. We realized as it was getting dark, and we had walked about 1km away from where the taxi initially dropped us off, that maybe we should start walking back before we miss our ride. Thankfully, our cab driver found us, and patiently waited for us to shoot as long as we wanted!

Anyways, congrats on the wedding guys, and thanks for trusting me to come along and capture it for you!!
